Irina's Philosophy

Intuition is the main force of my work. To allow the wise child to take over and to guide me to the deeper source. To connect me with the true self. The method is gestural and heartfelt.

To me creation is a process to unearth the unconscious and the subconscious of the artist and the viewer. Intellect and schooling follow intuition closely. The discipline: to stay the course - no matter what - until the piece speaks to me and the journey is complete.

The final product: the art piece is a symbol of the journey. The symbol itself a vessel to journey in or with; every time I view it, it recreates itself anew, because I have changed and the moment has changed.
